VFDF4X04-D230-PCM AC Motor Control


The Volts/Hertz VFD05-D230AC-PCM has all the features of the VFD series with several additional enhancements. They include an isolated front end,minimum speed adjustment potentiometer,DC injection braking,and automatic or manual restarts.

The dual voltage,isolated VFD05-D230AC-PCM inverter can accept a speed reference signal without a separate isolation card. They can be used with a variety of motors including 3-phase induction,single-phase permanent split capacitor (PSC),shaded pole and synchronous motors.

acked with features,the VFD05-D230AC-PCM series has a “doubling” jumper that can be set to output 230VAC to a motor when only 115VAC power supply is available. A jumper also determines if the VFD is set for automatic or manual restarting.

If automatic restart is selected,the inverter will restart after a low voltage fault or power loss,when the input voltage is restored to a minimum level. Another jumper selectable option is DC injection braking or coast-to-stop. Customizing the brake time and current is easy with adjustable trimmer pots.

The compact VFD05-D230AC-PCM is available to 1.5 hp,and has the features and flexibility expected in a full-featured AC drive.

Adjustable Switching Frequency: Default 16kHz frequency can be changed to 4k, 8k, 10k, or 12k Hz using kit 202-0108. Higher frequencies result in audibly quieter motor operation, but lower frequencies produce less electrical noise and may prevent GFI tripping.

DC Injection Braking: Can be used for quicker braking

Thermally Protects: Drive recognizes when overheated as a result from overload. After flashing a warning code, it will trip if condition persists

Diagnostic LEDs: Power, Enable, Torque Limit, Fault (Undervoltage, Overvoltage, 250% Current Limit Trip)
